When I tell people that back then I did not think I had a design bone in my body, they laugh. But listen, my design skills are where it is now, not because I was born with a creative gene. I am the girl who in high school got A's in every subject EXCEPT art.

The only way to level up is to learn Canva and this is what this academy is about. I will be teaching you the essentials needed to help you design like a pro. You can use your newfound skills to create awesome graphics and content products for your business...or even tap into a new income stream!

When I started to design in Canva...my designs were basic...and as I look back on those designs I can quickly see my growth. In this video, I show you an example of how I was able to improve my design skills by learning Canva.
Classes will be delivered LIVE, with replay available within 24 hours. Classes are on Wednesdays starting February 21 at 8pm est. Below is the curriculum for the course.
THE FUNDAMENTALS - This class will cover the fundamentals of Canva: Setting up your account; navigating canva; setting up branding; foundation of designing and downloading projects.
DESIGN TOOLS - Learn all the essential tools needed for designing: how to use design templates, design elements, uploads, projects, editing and formatting tools.
DESIGN TEXT PAGES - Learn how to create designs that incorporate text elements: how to create paragraphs; design text content; use fonts and font editing and formatting.
DESIGN LINE PAGES - Learn how to use lines to create designs: how to use line elements; create tables and other line designs; line editing and formatting.
DESIGN JOURNAL PAGES - Learn how to create and design journal pages: how to incorporate line and text content; create various journal layouts and design.
DESIGN WORKBOOK PAGES: Learn how to create pages for a workbook: how to incorporate multiple design elements to create workbook layouts and designs.
DESIGN PLANNER PAGES: Learn how to create pages for a planner: how to incorporate multiple design elements to create planner layouts and designs.
ONE PAGE WEBSITE: Learn how to create websites for your band: create sections; incorporate different design elements; and publish Canva-powered websites.
SOCIAL MEDIA GRAPHICS: Learn how to create social media graphics for your brand: different design options and design different type of content for social media.
DESIGN VIDEOS: Learn how to use Canva design tool to create and edit videos for your brand: upload, edit, create, add design elements to video content.
PRESENTATION DESIGNS: Learn how to create professional-looking presentation slides: how to incorporate multiple design elements to create and publish slides.
CANVA APPS: Learn how to use essential Canva apps in future designs: AI apps, productivity apps, design essentials and share and publish apps.
Classes will be delivered LIVE via zoom with a Q&A Session. Instructions will be 1 hour and each class will include a weekly assignment so that you can work on your design skills.
Replay of live classes will be available after each class. You will also have access to break-out tutorials that provide more details on specific design skills, tools, and tips.
